Area 1-P is made up of the eight regions of the American Youth Soccer Organization in the heart of Los Angeles: Region 19 - Culver City/Mar Vista/Palms; Region 20 - Santa Monica/Venice; Region 69 - Pacific Palisades/Brentwood; Region 70 - West Los Angeles; Region 76 - Beverly Hills/Bel Air; Region 78 - Wilshire/Hollywood; Region 514 - Los Angeles Central; Region 1031 - South Central Los Angeles. These regions span the range from some of the oldest to the newest regions in the AYSO family. Nearly 10,000 players ages 4 1/2 through 18 participate in our programs, which are staffed and run entirely by volunteer coaches, referees and administrators. This page is a meeting place for our extended soccer family.

1999-2000 Allstar and League Championship Tournament schedules and rules as well as the Allstar Guidelines and League Championship Guidelines are now posted.  The final Allstar Tournament standings and results  and League Championship Tournament results are now posted through the end of play on Sunday, January 30, 2000.

The following AYSO Area 1-P volunteers deserve special recognition and thanks for all their incredible work, effort and time in helping to make this year's Area 1-P League Championship and Allstar Tournaments the incredible successes that they were. Tournaments Director Dara Zeehandelaar for taking the time during her Winter Break from Cornell University and for putting up with me. Webster Middle School and Culver City High School Site Manager Judi Firth, Field & Team Coordinator Ralph Brewis, Fields Manager Todd Eichenberger and of course Luis Racca, as well as Concessions Managers Sue Anderson, Christine Barosio and Diane Shaw. John Adams Middle School Site Manager Maryanne LaGuardia and Referee Administrator Eric Nabel. La Cienega Park Site Managers Michael Karlin and Adrienne Coffin. A special thanks to Area 1-P Referee Administrator Dennis Kendig. A big round of thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who staffed all the sites every weekend all day long, rain or shine, and of course to all the Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Parents and the incredible Referees for giving the children such excellent tournaments. A final extra thank you to Webmaster Michael Karlin for the incredible amounts of time and work to keep this site so current, useful and up to date. I could not do it without any of you. Congratulations to these teams on where they finished, as well as to all the teams from across Area 1-P who participated in this year's Allstar tournament! Good luck to the all the 1st & 2nd place teams in each division, as well as the 3rd place teams from divisions BU12(4), GU12(4), BU10(5) and GU10(5) who will all be advancing to the Section 1 Allstar Tournament on Sunday March 5, 2000.

"Very Important Announcement" Area 1-P is proud to announce that Region 19   - Culver City / Mar Vista / Palms is starting a V.I.P program for the Fall 1999 season. The V.I.P program (Very Important Player program) is an AYSO program for children with special needs, either physically or developmentally challenged. While all children, with or without special needs, have always been welcome in the regular program, for some children the V.I.P. program may be more appropriate. The program is open to all children within Area 1-P, and beyond, and not limited to those just within Region 19. If you have, or know of, a child 5 - 18 years old who might benefit from the fun of AYSO soccer but is not able to participate in our regular program, or if you would like to volunteer to be a part of the program, please contact Rick Boisdeau, Region 19 V.I.P. Coordinator, at 310-841-2169. Congratulations to Rick and Region 19 for starting such a wonderful program in our Area, and best wishes for its success.
